Scientific Name
Cypraea Zebra
Description

Cowry or cowrie, plural cowries, is the common name for a group of small to large sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries. The wordcowry is also often used to refer only to the shells of these snails, which overall are often shaped more or less like an egg, except that they are rather flat on the underside.

Many people throughout history have found (and still find) the very rounded, shiny, porcelain-like shells of cowries pleasing to look at and to handle. Indeed the term "porcelain" derives from the old Italian term for the cowrie shell (porcellana) due to their similar translucent appearance. Shells of certain species have historically been used as currency in several parts of the world, as well as being used, in the past and present, very extensively in jewellery, and for other decorative and ceremonial purposes.

Some species in the family Ovulidae are also often referred to as cowries. In the British Isles the local Trivia species (family Triviidae, species Trivia monacha and Trivia arctica) are sometimes called cowries. The Ovulidae and the Triviidae are somewhat closely related to Cypraeidae.

Scientific Name
Holothuria leucospilota
Description

Sea cucumbers are echinoderms from the class Holothuroidea. They are marine animals with a leathery skin and an elongated body containing a single, branchedgonad. Sea cucumbers are found on the sea floor worldwide. The number of holothurian/ËŒhÉ’lɵˈθjÊŠÉ™riÉ™n/ species worldwide is about 1,717 with the greatest number being in the Asia Pacific region. Many of these are gathered for human consumption and some species are cultivated in aquaculture systems. The harvested product is variously referred to as trepangbêche-de-mer or balate. Sea cucumbers serve a useful role in the marine ecosystem as they help recycle nutrients, breaking downdetritus and other organic matter after which bacteria can continue the degradation process.

Like all echinoderms, sea cucumbers have an endoskeleton just below the skin, calcified structures that are usually reduced to isolated microscopic ossicles (or sclerietes) joined by connective tissue. In some species these can sometimes be enlarged to flattened plates, forming an armour. In pelagic species such as Pelagothuria natatrix(Order Elasipodida, family Pelagothuriidae), the skeleton is absent and there is no calcareous ring.

Mithrax sculptus
Description

The Emerald Crab will feed on algae including bubble algae  and eat any left-over meaty foods but, if it is underfed, may consume coral polyps or small fish. Research has shown that it can be used to control excessive growth of bubble algae in aquaria, but best results are found when its diet is supplemented with mysids but not with pelleted food.

Scientific Name
Epicystis crucifer
Description

The Red Beaded Anemone Phymanthus crucifer has all the desirable attributes of its relatives, and is one of the easiest anemones to care for. This is the best sea anemone for those who do not have the lighting, room, or experience needed for a "conventional" anemone. They only reach 4", so are a good sized anemone for a nano tank. Plus being colorful and inexpensive makes this a fun and hardy choice for first time anemone keepers.

Narcine brasiliensis
Description

The Carpet Anemone has a wavy appearance to it and usually clings to rock substrate. Serving as a host to many clowns they form beneficial relationships with them throughout their lifetime. The carpet anemone has a impactful sting that may harm other corals. They have a very sticky touch and do not easily let go once it is attached.

Halichoeres radiatus
Description

The puddingwife wrasseHalichoeres radiatus, is a species of wrasse native to the western Atlantic Ocean from North Carolina to Bermuda, through the West Indies and Gulf of Mexico, to offshore islands of Brazil, being absent from Brazilian coastal waters. It can be found on reefs at depths from 2 to 55 m (6.6 to 180.4 ft), with younger fish up to subadults being found in much shallower waters from 1 to 5 m (3.3 to 16.4 ft). This species can reach 51 cm (20 in) in total length, though most do not exceed 40 cm (16 in). This species is of minor importance to local commercial fisheries and can be found in the aquarium trade.
